3 ingredient chocolate cake

This super simple 3 ingredient recipe contains:

🌟Chocolate has been shown to have a variety of health benefits when consumed in moderation. Some of these benefits include reducing the risk of heart disease, improving brain function, and providing antioxidants that can help protect against cell damage and improve egg and sperm health. Additionally, chocolate contains compounds that have been linked to reducing inflammation in the body and improving blood flow. It is important for us to mention that it is best to choose dark chocolate with a high percentage of cocoa solids, to get the most beneficial compounds.

The primary antioxidants in chocolate are flavanols, which are a type of polyphenol. Once again, dark chocolate generally contains higher levels of flavanols compared to milk chocolate.

🌟Butter that is pure (only contains cream (milk), salt and water) is a good source of vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, and vitamin K. It also contains small amounts of other nutrients like calcium and potassium. Butter is also high in saturated fat, so it is recommended to consume it in moderation.

🌟 Eggs are a great source of protein, containing all the essential amino acids our bodies need. They are also a good source of choline, vitamins D and B12, and minerals such as iron and selenium. Additionally, eggs contain healthy fats that are important for brain and heart health.

Note for pregnancy: Dark chocolate typically contains about 12 mg of caffeine per 30 grams. The exact amount can vary depending on the brand and type of chocolate.

3 INGREDIENT CHOCOLATE CAKE

Gluten Free, Nut Free

Serves 8-10

Ingredients

425g of dark chocolate (we use green and blacks 70-85%)

250g block of organic butter, cut into 1 cm cubes

10 organic eggs (separated)

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180c.

2. Grease a 25cm spring form pan with butter.

3. Melt butter and chocolate in a heat resistant bowl over a saucepan of boiling water. Be careful not to burn the chocolate.

4. Beat eggs whites using an electric whisk until they form stiff peaks.

5. In a separate bowl, whisk egg yolks until pale.

6. Allow chocolate mix to cool, and then add chocolate mixture to egg yolks and mix well.

7. Gradually fold egg whites a little at a time to the chocolate mix.

8. Add mixture to spring from pan and place in oven.

9. Cook for 30-40 minutes in oven or until when pan is moved, the batter doesn’t. It’s ok if this cake is still a little moist in the middle. It’s delicious self-saucing

Enjoy!
